As the Manager of Sales Development, you will play a critical role in our sales organization by recruiting, training, and managing our Sales Development Representatives and partnering with our Senior Director of Sales Development in leading the entire SDR team to success. You’ll be responsible for management, operations, and the development of strategic tactics for the SDR team. You will have a seat at the table with our sales leadership and you will help shape the development of our SDR program as we expand globally.

Your Mission

You will play a key role as you lead/manage this highly visible and motivated team that achieves individual, team, and organizational quotas. Your team is responsible for developing and qualifying revenue opportunities within their assigned territory. They generate new business opportunities to fuel the pipeline by conducting strategic research and cold calling. You'll be a valuable contributor to the sales strategy while providing definition and implementation of the plan for sales to achieve corporate objectives. The Manager, Sales Development role is a progressive one and we are looking for leaders who want to further develop their careers through continuous professional development, who are motivated by taking on ever increasing responsibility within Glint.

What you’ll own…

  • Hire, train, and manage our team of Sales Development Representatives whose role consists of prospecting, pipeline building, and opportunity identification
  • Develop SDRs into sales-ready candidates for future Account Executive positions
  • Create metrics for monthly qualified lead objectives
  • Motivate individuals and teams to exceed objectives through coaching, regular broadcast of results, and creative incentives
  • Regularly report on team/individual results- quantity & quality of leads and revenue – to Sales leadership
  • Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders
  • Work closely with Marketing on defining campaign follow up and reporting
  • Work closely with SDRs to ensure lead quality/quantity and proper follow-up
  • Work closely with Operations to make recommendations on process improvement
  • Identify and make recommendations for improvement in the areas of process, efficiency, and productivity

Who you are…

  • 1-3+ years of experience in sales or sales development leadership plus a proven personal record of achievement
  • Overachiever with a consistent record of managing teams to exceed performance goals
  • Strong track record of managing daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly objectives
  • Proven ability to identify and improve end-to-end processes
  • Exceptional skill in lead qualification, advanced outbound prospecting, buyer persona messaging, and overcoming objections
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication and ability to distill highly technical information into key takeaways
  • Passion for leading and developing teams to achieve beyond expectations
  • Proficiency in Salesforce.com, Outreach.io preferred
