Glint Platform Cookie Table

LAST UPDATED | October 22, 2020

This document (the “Platform Cookie Table”) describes how Glint uses technologies such as Cookies or pixels to collect information about you while you use the Glint platform to utilize Glint’s employee engagement and people success services (the “Glint Platform”). This Platform Cookie Table applies to any Glint services and products accessed through the Glint Platform. Our primary goals in using the technologies described here are to provide and improve the Glint Platform, to administer your use of the Glint Platform, to enable you to enjoy and easily navigate the Glint Platform, and for the other purposes outlined in the applicable Glint Data Protection Summaries for our engagement and people success products. Terms not otherwise defined in this Platform Cookie Table shall have the meanings given to them in the Glint Data Protection Summaries. This Platform Cookie Table does not apply to Cookies used on the publicly available Glint website.

What is a Cookie? “Cookies” are small text files that are placed in your browser folder on your hard drive by a Web server when you access the Glint Platform. We may use session Cookies, persistent Cookies, and Web Beacons. Session cookies last only as long as the session (usually the current website visit or browser session).  Persistent Cookies last beyond the current session and will stay on your browser until they expire or you delete them. Web Beacons (also known as clear GIFs) are tiny graphics with a unique identifier that may be included on Glint’s services or communications for several purposes, such as to deliver or communicate with Cookies, to track and measure the performance of the services, or to measure your engagement with emails we send you. Unlike Cookies, which are stored on your hard drive, Web Beacons are typically embedded invisibly on web pages or in an email. Glint may use session Cookies, persistent Cookies and Web Beacons to identify that you’ve accessed the services and to tell Glint how and when you interact with its services.

Why do we use Cookies? We use Cookies to determine that you’ve accessed the Glint Platform and to tell us how and when you interacted with the Glint Platform. We may also use Cookies to monitor analytics such as aggregate usage and web traffic routing on the Glint Platform and to customize and improve the Glint Platform.

What Cookies do we use? We only use essential Cookies (i.e., cookies that are necessary for us to deliver the services to you) on the Glint Platform. Below is a table of the different types of Cookies that we may use. Since the number and names of Cookies may change, these tables may be updated from time to time to provide you with the latest information. The expiration dates for the Cookies listed below generally apply on a rolling basis.

What options do I have? Although most browsers automatically accept Cookies, you can change your browser settings to reject Cookies or to prompt you before accepting Cookies. Please note, however, that if you don’t accept Cookies, you may not be able to access all portions or features on the Glint Platform.
